The health emergency generated by COVID 19, caused the income of the families of the Zuleta Commune to be greatly affected, much of it is generated by tourism in the area and the sale of items made by embroiderers woman.

Despite this, the Zuleteñas embroiderers continue working to help their families, seeking to innovate in their designs and adapt to circumstances. As part of its products, you colud find now beautiful masks with three layers of protection, different designs, with embroidery for men, women, boys and girls. In addition, the community is reactivating its fair, where you can find many more embroidered items, from home decorations to blouses and shirts. Its economic recovery now needs your support.

The Zuleta Commune is located in the Imbabura province in the Canton of Ibarra, Angochagua parish, in the Northern Sierra of Ecuador, its demographic characteristics and cultural richness have made this town one of the most visited places by local tourists, domestic and foreign.

Zuleta embroideries are made 100% by hand and have a great historical trajectory, they have been recognized nationally and internationally for their beauty, detail and quality. Women embroiderers, in each of their designs permeate the magic of this territory, its biodiversity and the intercultural richness that can be found in it.

With your support, Zuleta will be able to reactivate its economy in an organized and joint way, through the acquisition of paper sleeves to pack the embroidery and in this way support the reduction of single-use plastics, raw materials such as fabrics and threads , to continue making quality embroidery and a label machine that serves to guarantee the origin of the product with territorial identity.

We need to raise USD. 10.000, which will be invested as follows: USD. 4,200 to buy paper sleeves to pack the embroidery; USD. $ 1,000 to purchase raw materials; USD. 4,800 for the purchase of a label machine. Your contribution is important.
